Upgrade components

Upgrade components can be added to armors, weapons, trinkets and gathering tools. They provide an extra benefit or impact while the equipment in use. They can be purchased from vendors or other players, looted, obtained as rewards, or made by crafting materials. Upgrade items can be cosmetic effects as well as giving bonus attributes.
Infusions, inscriptions, as well as enhancements are all types of upgrade components. They are not generally accessible for general use, and they can only be used on ascending equipment or certain non-ascended weapons from the Factions campaign. Infusions, inscriptions and enrichments can be recovered from equipment using an Infusion Extraction Device, or saved using a Black Lion Salvage Kit or an Ascended Salvage Tool.
Phoenix Boxes unlike other upgrade products can be exchanged and reused while still attached to an item that is being upgraded. These upgrade items can be used to increase weapon and armor quality without spending Dilithium. They can increase the likelihood that an item will receive a quality upgrade.
A component that is upgraded in an item may be replaced with a different one however, it will destroy the previous one (except for upgrades to legendaries and equipment that has been ascended). Upgrade components are only available to upgraded items with an identification level of zero or greater. The addition of an upgrade to a weapon that is already equipped with a suffix or prefix upgrade will display the name of the resulting item as it appears in game (for instance, adding the Radiant Insignia to Canthan Armor will cause it to be referred to as Canthan Armor of Minor Vigor). A player can have up to three upgrade items at any one time.
Glyphs
Glyphs can be an excellent addition to any product. They offer unique advantages and boosts. Some Glyphs increase the number of affixes an item has, thereby increasing its effectiveness. These glyphs are obtained by completing Dungeons. Some are even found in specific World Tier 3 zones. It is important to note that glyphs cannot be used on a character that has not been able to create an dungeon with a root with the same depth.
To use a Glyph first, you need to create it using components and connect them to anchors. The component will then automatically align itself to other components or paths in the same layer. If you don't wish to create the glyph using components, you can employ the combination of anchors and paths. Drag an element near an element highlighted to lock it into its place.
Certain glyphs require certain conditions to fulfill, for example having 25 Dexterity or more in a specific region on the Paragon Board. Certain glyphs require a certain number of Primary Stat Nodes to be activated, which could be a challenge to attain. Some glyphs have a radius, which increases as you move it up.
Glyphs are available for many different items and can be added to all weapons except for weapons of specific classes. Some of these glyphs also have conditions, such as having a certain amount of dexterity or attack damage in a specific location on the Paragon board.
The Defend Glyph gives you the chance to deflect attacks from enemies. It also has 15% chance to render the Hero vulnerable for 2 turns.
There are also a handful of glyphs that can be applied to limited-use tools like the Black Lion Chest or Trading Post. These glyphs contribute to the Combat Mechanic Achievement.
The most popular glyphs are the attack glyphs which boost the ATK substats of Artifacts by a flat amount. They are especially useful for classes that are ranged such as Warriors and Rogues. Other glyphs include the Exploit Glyph which makes enemies who strike the Hero susceptible to damage.
Reroll tokens
Reroll tokens are used to reroll a result rolled during an Action. When the reroll happens they are discarded. Reroll tokens can be obtained in many ways, like raids and dungeons or through participation in skirmishes. They can also be bought in the store or from other players. They are especially useful in dungeons and trials because they allow players to roll rewards from the bottom of the chest.
Recycle point values are provided for items at level 1. When an item is recycled, it will add a specific number of points to the gauge for upgrading. This value scales depending on the item's value and rarity. The upgraded item will not retain its level if rerolled and the cost for recycling an upgraded item rises when its level increases.
Alternatively, a player can make use of reroll tokens to reroll an upgrade item, but this will not return the item to its original state or provide its original extra statistics. This is useful for players who want to reroll an item or piece of equipment that they don't like but still want to keep in their collection.
There are three types of upgrade tokens in the game: reroll, random and upgrade. Each type has several subtypes. For example, reroll tokens come in three different levels: rare, enhanced and legendary. Each level requires an item from its respective level to create an item of that quality.
To use reroll tokens, click on the Satanic or Angelic item in inventory and select "Reroll Token". Select a type of token. item upgrader that are available are Item, Weapons, Misc, 1hguns, 2hguns, and Focus. The use of an Item token will create a new Item of any type. Utilizing the Weapon or Misc token will create a new weapon of the same faction.
There is also the possibility that the item will be upgraded to a different item that has an increased level and the same stats. This is likely to occur if the item been placed in the Pool that is not droppable or if it was transferred to the pool as part of a franchise card.
